Tel: 081-685 0528 ENGLAND ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installing slidesets:- ---------------------- (1)Copy the contents of this disc into the MSCOPE directory on your hard drive. (This directory must already contain Microscope for the PC). (2)Log onto the directory from the DOS command line. (3)Enter the follwing at the Dos Command line:- SLIDES2 (4)The slidesets will be extracted from the compressed file into the directory. Afterwards, you can delete SLIDES2.EXE from your hard-disc to save space. (5)To use the slidesets, start Microscope for the PC and INSTALL the sets into the control database using the slideset management option from Microscope's menu. CLUBS ----- Two societies in England can be joined by people interested in Microscopy - one of these is associated with the Natural History Museum. SPECIAL NOTE TO NON-UK USERS PURCHASING PRO SLIDESETS IF OUTSIDE THE UK. ======================================================================== USA, CANADA, AND ADJACENT AREAS ------------------------------- Slidesets are sold as packs, normally several slidesets of many images to a disk. To offer these relatively cheaply outside the United Kingdom it is not feasible to ship single disks. Instead all prices have been simplified for non-UK customers. You can order direct from Molcol Software at a cost of $9.00 (USA Dollars per disk) but all orders must be for at least 3 DISKS. No additional shipping or handling charges need to be added. As you become aware of the growing range of PROfessional slidesets, simply choose the ones you would like, make sure they total at least 3 disks and send a cheque for $27.00 (USA dollars) Any additional slideset disks can be included on the same order for the reduced price of $8.00 (USA dollars). Here is an example:- You want 3 disks - send $27.00 You want 5 disks - send $43.00 All payments for slidesets should be by way of a cheque to MOLCOL SOFTWARE, SENT TO THE ADDRESS ABOVE. PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS AS WELL AS THE NAMES OF THE SLIDESET PACKS YOU REQUIRE. Your Cheques should be made out in your local currency when writing the amount in words. If we experience any problems with our bank accepting the cheque, we will contact you to offer alternative ways of making the transaction. In most cases, this will not be necessary. Slidesets in this pack may be used free of charge indefinitely by owners of LICENSED OR REGISTERED VERSIONS of Microscope for the PC. Slidesets in this pack may be used for upto 4 weeks by people evaluating the use of SHAREWARE VERSIONS OF Microscope for the PC to assist them in making a decision regarding paying a licensing fee and obtaining a licensed version. If you have not already become an owner of a licensed version of Microscope for the PC then be aware of what you are missing. A simple licence to continue viewing SHAREWARE distributed slidesets will enable you to quickly pick a set for viewing and end the nuisance of having to install a slideset everytime you want to use it. The licence is not expensive and in return, you receive replacement software enabling better performance. Optionally, you may wish to purchase the PRO version and gain access to the Professional range of slidesets. Examples from these form the basis of Shareware slidesets. MICROSCOPE TOOLBOX: As the amount of slidesets for Microscope for the PC increases, more tools are required: cross-references, look-up tables, additional notes, printing options, grabbing options etc. Such a tool is being considered.
